About Diwakar
Diwakar Kishore is a PhD Candidate at the London School of Economics and Political Science and a lawyer‑economist with prior degrees from Harvard University, the University of Oxford, and the National Law School of India University.
His doctoral thesis is entitled “Designing, Measuring and Incentivising Inclusive Development: An Empirical Analysis of India’s Aspirational Districts Programme” and examines how information, accountability, and local governance shape inequalities in development outcomes across India’s districts, drawing on experimental and quasi‑experimental methods.
Diwakar has also taught Social Economics and Policy, Social Security Policies, and NGOs, Social Policy and Development at the London School of Economics, Economics of Public Policy at the University of Oxford, and quantitative methods in the Action Research course at Harvard University. In addition, he has taught at several universities and colleges in India, including St Xavier’s College, Mumbai, National Law School of India University, Bangalore, Christ University, Bangalore, Mount Carmel College, Bangalore, and Chanakya National Law University, Patna.
