About Kevin
I am a current MD-PhD student at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. I graduated from Washington University in St. Louis where I double majored in biomedical engineering and biochemistry and triple minored in computer science, electrical engineering, and bioinformatics. I am fluent in English, Mandarin Chinese, and Finnish, and am happy to provide tutoring in any of these languages.
I have over 1,000 hours of tutoring experience ranging from in-person, online, one-on-one, and small groups. I have successfully worked with students for individual classes, test preparation (MCAT, ACT, SAT, AP), and admissions (MD-PhD programs, Medical School, College).

I aim to individualize my lessons and teaching style to best suit my students. Every student has their own needs and goals, so my lessons can take a variety of forms. For test preparation, I start with designing a timeline and setting up short and long term goals. When teaching or reviewing topics, I go through concepts and write questions for my students to solve to test their understanding.
For standardized exams, questions are often not straightforward, so I also work with students on how to think about questions and guide their logic towards getting the correct answer.
