About Saamia
I am an art teacher and educationist who believes that creativity is not a talent reserved for a few, but a language that every individual can learn to speak. Art, to me, is more than drawing or painting. It is a way of thinking, questioning, exploring, and understanding the world.
As an educator, I see the classroom as a space where ideas are respected, curiosity is encouraged, and mistakes are welcomed as part of growth. I believe that art education develops not only artistic skills but also confidence, critical thinking, empathy, and self-expression. Through art, students learn to observe deeply, think independently, and communicate meaningfully.
My teaching philosophy is rooted in guidance rather than control. I aim to create an environment where students feel safe to experiment, challenge themselves, and discover their own creative voice. Every learner brings unique perspectives and experiences, and I value diversity of thought and expression in my classroom.
I expect dedication, openness, and a willingness to try. In return, I offer support, constructive feedback, and opportunities to grow both artistically and intellectually. Together, we will explore techniques, concepts, history, and contemporary practices in art, but most importantly, we will explore ideas.

- I am a qualified M.Phil in Art Education from the Beaconhouse National University.
- I can teach all year levels to 13. Expertise in year 8 and above students.
