About Miguel
-As an accomplished musician, Portuguese pianist Miguel Serrano displays exemplary skills in playing the piano to captivate audiences. He manages sound quality and projection with fine control, highlighting memorable experiences.
-He finished his studies in the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire (RBC) in June 2024, having studied with Daniel Browell, and completed his Bachelor's degree in Music Performance with first-class honours. Last academic year he studied at the Liszt Academy as a post-graduate student after having been awarded a scholarship to do so.
-Miguel has extensive experience performing solo, having partaken in several competitions, masterclasses and other performances throughout the years, while also having collaborated with other musicians, both chamber and orchestral. He has also had a few allocated hours to develop his knowledge of the organ, harpsichord, fortepiano and conducting.
-Miguel has ample experience teaching students in other subjects (namely Maths, Physics and Chemistry and English), which coupled with his piano knowledge and enthusiasm to teach, it makes him the ideal candidate to begin his career as a piano teacher.
-Additionally, he has also undertaken a work placement in a ballet school accompanying young dancers for their ballet classes, with pre-prepared repertoire and improvisation. He is also on his way to become well versed in piano tuning, having had an apprenticeship from a professional piano technician, while still studying at the RBC.
