About Antwan
Watching a student finally master a difficult chord voicing is the best part of my day. Having taught 176 students over 3 years, I know exactly where the common bottlenecks in rhythm and timing occur.
My time at the Queensland Conservatorium, coupled with years performing, allows me to teach memorization techniques and ear training alongside pop and contemporary styles. I emphasize proper posture and hand position, often correcting small habits before they become barriers to your fluency. It is simply about getting the technique right so the music can speak for itself.

A typical hour with me involves moving through targeted exercises that bridge the gap between abstract theory and your actual playing ability. Weekly practice modules assigned with every class ensure you have a clear roadmap to follow until we meet again for your next session. I treat piano as both a physical discipline and a creative outlet, making sure we balance technical rigor with the joy of improvisation.
Because I draw on 3 years of full time teaching, I know how to pace these sessions so you remain challenged but never overwhelmed. I am here to ensure you walk away from the piano feeling like you have truly accomplished something significant.
