About Ruby
I hold a Master’s Degree in Piano Performance and Music Education, which I completed after years of studying performance technique, ensemble playing, and teaching methodology. Over the past 9 years, I have taught students from different age groups and skill levels, helping them grow through personalized instruction and supportive guidance. Teaching piano allows me to combine creativity, discipline, and mentorship in a meaningful way. I enjoy helping students develop confidence through music.
My teaching approach is flexible, patient, and student-centered. Some learners prefer structured technical exercises, while others learn better through creative exploration and improvisation. I adapt my lessons based on each student’s personality, pace, and musical goals. I also focus on developing listening skills, rhythm awareness, expressive playing, and performance confidence. Creating a positive and encouraging learning environment is always my priority.
Outside teaching, I continue practicing piano, exploring different styles of music, and studying modern teaching methods. Music plays an important role in my life as a source of creativity and inspiration. One of the most rewarding parts of teaching is seeing students grow into confident musicians who enjoy expressing themselves through piano.

My piano lessons focus on helping students develop strong musical understanding while building confidence through structured and enjoyable learning methods. I teach note reading, rhythm skills, finger independence, hand coordination, chord progressions, and expressive playing using simple and clear explanations. Lessons also include sight-reading practice, improvisation exercises, duet playing, ear training, and timing development that help students improve naturally over time. I create a calm and encouraging learning space where students feel comfortable learning at their own pace. Every lesson balances technical skill with creativity and musical enjoyment.
Beginners start with keyboard familiarity, posture, simple scales, and easy melodies to build strong foundational habits. Intermediate learners focus on improving coordination, dynamic control, rhythm accuracy, and smoother hand transitions through structured practice. Advanced students refine expressive interpretation, performance preparation, complex repertoire, and musical phrasing skills. I adapt each lesson based on the student’s learning speed, goals, and musical interests to ensure steady progress.
Learning piano should feel inspiring and rewarding. I encourage students to enjoy gradual improvement while building confidence through consistent practice. Many learners become more independent and expressive as their musical understanding grows. My goal is to help students develop both technical ability and artistic expression while enjoying the journey of learning music.
