About Kalina
My passion for piano began through admiration for melody, harmony, and musical storytelling. This inspired me to complete a PhD in Piano Studies and Music Education, where I explored performance methods, interpretation, and teaching strategies in depth. During the past 11 years, I have helped students develop strong musical foundations through structured and encouraging lessons.
I believe every learner improves differently, so I adapt my teaching style according to individual learning needs and personal goals. My approach focuses on patience, flexibility, and encouragement to help students progress naturally and comfortably. Some students improve through technical exercises, while others develop through improvisation and creative exploration. I ensure every lesson feels motivating and supportive.
Outside teaching, I continue exploring classical repertoire, collaborative music projects, and modern piano interpretation to keep my lessons engaging and inspiring. Staying connected to music allows me to bring practical insight and creativity into every class. My goal is to help students become expressive and confident musicians. Supporting their artistic and personal growth remains one of the most fulfilling parts of my work.

My piano lessons are designed to help students develop technical control while building creativity, musical confidence, and expressive ability. I teach rhythm training, sight reading, finger independence, chord understanding, hand coordination, dynamics, improvisation, and pedal techniques using practical and structured guidance. Lessons focus on helping students understand music naturally instead of memorizing patterns without meaning. I create a welcoming environment where learners feel comfortable improving at a steady pace.
Each lesson is adjusted according to the learner’s experience level, goals, and musical preferences. Beginners receive patient support with note reading, posture, and coordination exercises, while advanced learners strengthen interpretation, expressive phrasing, and performance preparation. I include listening activities, duet playing, improvisation tasks, and practice routines to support complete musical development. Students preparing for recitals or examinations receive focused guidance for confidence and consistency.
I believe piano becomes more meaningful when students feel emotionally connected to the music they play. My lessons help reduce frustration and build confidence through supportive teaching and regular progress. Many learners gradually become more expressive and technically secure over time. My goal is to help students enjoy learning while developing strong and lasting piano skills.
