My piano teaching approach is designed to help students develop musical fluency from the very first lesson. I focus on making music feel natural, expressive, and engaging right away. Students learn not just to play notes, but to understand and communicate the music they perform.
I emphasize finger independence, reading fluency, and real-time rhythm training to build strong technical foundations. Duet playing is an essential part of my lessons, encouraging listening skills, timing, and collaboration. I also include exercises for sight-reading, improvisation, and hand coordination.
For students interested in popular music or leading music in worship settings, I guide them to master chord progressions, accompaniment patterns, and creative interpretation. I help them develop confidence in playing both written music and improvisation. Lessons are tailored to individual goals, balancing technique, expression, and musicality.
I incorporate ear training, rhythm games, and small performance challenges to reinforce learning and keep sessions fun. Every student is encouraged to explore their creativity while building strong foundations. My approach ensures steady progress, technical control, and expressive playing.

With over 7 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Collaborative Piano, I am passionate about guiding students to discover their unique musical voice.
