About Patrick
I'm an experienced classical pianist that has a strong passion for music. Although I am classically trained, I enjoy branching out my skills into other musical interests such as songwriting, improvisations, pop/rock, hip-hop/R&B, and jazz. I love to see my students grow as musicians and develop new skills for expressing and enjoying themselves through the piano. I make sure to carefully craft unique lesson plans for each student that best fits their learning style, personality, and age, while also teaching the foundational skills they need to become well-rounded musicians.
I have played the piano for almost 20 years, I have over 7 years of teaching experience, and I have taught at Music Academies in the Greater Toronto Area and Guelph for over 4 years. As for my education and performances, I have completed my RCM Grade 10 piano and related theory with first-class honours, competed at numerous competitions across Ontario, performed at multiple music festivals in the GTA, and won many runner-ups and first-place awards (all for classical music). However, I have accompanied other musicians and performed privately at multiple venues such as museums, art galleries, and restaurants for music genres such as jazz, R&B, and pop/rock.
If my students ever need anything musically related outside of lessons, I make sure to always be there for them (i.e. printing off sheet music, transcribing songs, piano accompaniment at events, recording, etc.).
