About Julia
I am a piano tutor with over 3 years of experience, and I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Collaborative Piano and Chamber Music. My experience includes working with a wide range of students and musical styles. I design lessons that are personalized and goal-focused. Each lesson is practical and enjoyable.
I specialize in pop piano arranging and modern chord voicings. I also teach students how to play by ear, especially for songs they love. This helps develop a deeper understanding of music. It also builds creative confidence.
My teaching style is supportive and interactive. I work with students at all levels, from Beginner to Advanced, including those working toward mastery. Lessons are clear and engaging. Progress is steady and motivating.

My teaching approach focuses on making sight-reading clear and efficient. I use a structured method to build strong visual-to-finger coordination. This helps students play directly from the page. Sight-reading is practiced regularly.
We work on identifying notes, intervals, and patterns quickly. Students learn to see shapes on the staff. This makes reading faster and easier. Confidence grows with practice.
I also focus on rhythm and timing. Students practice reading rhythms accurately. I use drills to improve counting and control. This builds strong musical foundations.
