About Ophelia
I am a passionate drum tutor with 4 years of teaching experience, working with high school students, college students, and elderly learners. Music has always been a strong part of my life, and teaching drums allows me to share that love every day. So far, I have successfully taught between 150 and 200 students, helping them grow in skill and confidence. My biggest career milestone is seeing many of my students perform on stage for the first time. Some started with no musical background, but today they play with confidence and joy. A few of my students have even joined bands and music groups. These moments remind me why I chose teaching as my path. I believe every student is different, and each one learns in their own way. I keep my lessons simple, clear, and well-planned. I focus on building strong rhythm, good hand coordination, and correct technique. I also teach students how to practise smartly at home. For elderly students, my lessons focus on comfort, relaxation, and enjoyment. For younger learners, I focus on energy, focus, and confidence. I create a friendly learning environment where students feel safe to try, fail, and improve. Teaching drums is not just my job—it is my true passion. My goal is to help every student enjoy music and grow with confidence.

My drum teaching methodology is based on real-life examples, motivation, problem-solving, integrity, and flexibility. I believe that students learn drums best when they understand how rhythms are used in real music. I use songs, performance videos, and practice recordings as case studies to show students how beats, fills, and grooves work in real situations. This makes learning more interesting and easier to understand. Motivation is a strong part of my teaching. I always encourage my students and help them stay positive about their progress. I set small goals for each student so they can improve step by step. For problem-solving, I focus on finding simple solutions to technical difficulties like hand balance, foot control, speed, and timing. I guide students patiently until they gain confidence. Integrity is very important in my lessons. I provide honest feedback and teach students the value of discipline, regular practice, and respect for music. Flexibility allows me to change my teaching style based on each student’s needs, learning pace, and personal goals. Every student receives personal attention. Along with drum training, I also teach music theory, rhythm reading, basic keyboard, and performance skills.
