About Leonie
I am aware of the lifelong commitment it takes to learn a language as I have been studying Japanese for almost six years now, but I also think it is one of the most rewarding pursuits that should never be made to feel like a task, which is why I have always valued lessons that included games allowing for creativity with grammar or vocabulary that is being studied. I have a great understanding of English grammar from learning other languages. My academic studies have given me a very high level of written and spoken English as I have had to articulate my views in such situations as academic conferences and seminar presentations.

I like to work with my students to achieve their language goals in whichever way suits them best. I can structure lessons based on focusing on reading and writing, speaking and listening or a bit of both if that's what you want. I like to use my student's interests as lesson subject matter so content and vocabulary that it's interesting to you. So this could be a hobby you have, films or TV shows that you like, or places and things you want to do.
