About Eugene
Holding a Master of Music in Violin Performance from Manhattan School of Music, I emphasize biomechanics in my teaching. My 13 years of playing with a leading American chamber ensemble informs my home studio practice in San Francisco. I instruct students from 4-year-old beginners to high-schoolers aiming for college auditions.
I prioritize scales and arpeggios, tone production, left hand agility, posture and hold, plus spiccato and staccato bowing. Music is movement.

I monitor your physical habits closely to prevent strain and maximize your musical expression. These sessions are rewarding because watching a student finally find freedom in their instrument creates genuine joy.
