About Sara

Hello! My name is Sara, and I come from a small town near Milan in northern Italy. I love to travel, and you will often find me in a different country—maybe yours, who knows! :) I have lived in Australia, London, and Spain, and these experiences have enriched my understanding, allowing me to easily explain not only the Italian language but also cultural differences and idiomatic expressions. I have also learned, and continue to improve, in foreign languages, so I understand the difficulties one might encounter and know the most effective learning methods. I am passionate about teaching people of all ages and from all cultures. I also love nature, art, personal development, mindfulness, and watching movies and TV series. And, of course, like any good Italian, I love good food and good wine.

**Speak Italian from Day One! Personalized Lessons for Everyday Life, Travel and Business**

Learning Italian isn't just about memorizing grammar rules. It's about communicating, building confidence, and enjoying the process from your very first lesson!

My lessons focus on practical communication, so you'll start speaking Italian as early as possible. Don't worry about making mistakes: they're a natural part of learning, and I'll help you improve in a relaxed, supportive environment.

**What can we work on together?**

- **Italian for beginners:** Build a strong foundation and start speaking with confidence.
- **Conversational Italian:** Improve your fluency, vocabulary, and pronunciation through real-life situations.
- **Italian for travel and culture:** Prepare for your next trip and discover Italian traditions, food, and everyday life.
- **Business Italian:** Develop the language skills you need for professional conversations, meetings, presentations, emails, and communication with Italian clients and colleagues.

Every lesson is tailored to your interests, level, and goals. We'll use authentic materials such as articles, videos, dialogues, audio, games, and practical exercises. Grammar will be part of the journey, but always in a clear and manageable way.

Having learned a second and third language myself, I understand the challenges of starting from scratch. My goal is to help you feel comfortable, motivated, and confident as you progress.

**Your first lesson is an opportunity to get to know each other**, discuss your goals, assess your level, and start creating a learning plan that works for you.

Whether you're learning Italian for fun, travel, personal growth, or professional reasons, let's make it practical, enjoyable, and rewarding. I look forward to meeting you!

  • 1) Do you speak this language fluently because of your origins or because a teacher inspired you to learn?

I speak Italian fluently because it is my native language and I grew up using it every day.
  • 2) Can you name a living, historical or fictional character that you think is the emblematic representative of the language's culture?

For me, Dante Alighieri represents Italian culture because he shaped the language with his poetry.
  • 3) Is there a typical word, phrase, tradition or behaviour in the language that you particularly like?

I love the tradition of the long Italian family lunch on Sundays, with everyone talking, laughing and sharing homemade dishes.
I also like the Italian word “magari”, because it expresses hope, desire and possibility all in one word—something very unique.
  • 4) Why does speaking this language matter to you?

Because Italian is part of who I am, and teaching it allows me to share my culture and connect with people from all over the world.
  • 5) What is the main difficulty in learning this language and what can help the process of learning?

The main difficulty is mastering verb conjugations and grammar structures. What helps is regular practice, listening to native speakers, and learning in context and practicing.
  • 6) Provide a valuable anecdote related to your language learning or your days at school.

In high school, we had a language exchange with students from another country. Explaining my Italian expressions to them made me realise how rich and nuanced my language is. Later, visiting them in their country helped me understand their culture, habits and way of thinking. Those experiences taught me that language is deeply connected to culture — and that real conversations are one of the best ways to learn.
  • 7) How has travel or a specific trip helped you to increase your skill and knowledge of the language?

Living in different countries and learning new languages gave me a completely new perspective. It helped me understand what students go through when they start from zero, and it showed me how Italian differs from other languages in structure and rhythm. Thanks to these experiences, I can explain Italian more clearly and guide students with empathy and practical tips.
  • 8) What makes you a Superprof in language?

I’m patient, clear, and passionate. I adapt every lesson to my students’ needs, and I make learning Italian practical, enjoyable and connected to real life.
