About Krishna Shivbahadur
Practicing what I preach myself. Earlier as a beginner, even I was caught in the trap of chasing pump and spending hours in the gym, only to end up feeling fatigued for the rest of the day. It was not until I adapted my hybrid approach that I noticed making better gains than ever, becoming stronger with time, and recovery was better. I think this could be the best approach especially for busy clients that can't spend hours in the gym for 6 days a week. Even just 2-3 days of high intensity workouts are sufficient.

Most gym beginners end up lifting the same weight over a long period of time, and chase a pump with high reps thinking they are making gains, eventually ending up spending hours in the gym. However, as Mentzer practiced, High intensity, low volume short duration sessions are more effective. My hybrid approach combines the high intensity aspect from Mentzer for maximum strength and backup sets for maximum hypertrophy. Your workouts would be less fatiguing and more productive.
