About Zsofia
I hold an integrated MFA in Painting from the Hungarian University of Fine Arts, where I received rigorous training in human anatomy and figurative drawing, different drawing and painting techniques, art history and art theory. While oil painting still takes up a significant part of my art practice, in recent years, I taught myself how to sew, weave and embroider, and nowadays, I often use fibres to compose pictures.

In addition to my art degree, I hold an MA in Arts and Learning from Goldsmiths and have 5+ years of experience in gallery education and art facilitation. I am excited to help you reach your goals - be it getting into your dream art school or learning a new skill just for fun.
I offer my expertise if:
-you are looking for a fun, creative and confidence-building activity for yourself, your child, or the both of you while trying your wings in a range of different media
-you want to develop one specific skill (e.g. observational drawing, oil painting, painting with acrylic, weaving on a frame loom)
-you want to reflect upon your art and receive personalised recommendations of artists to look up, exhibitions to visit, texts to read
-you want to immerse yourself in a creative activity after a long working day and learn a skill that will accompany you for your whole life
-you need help with GCSE, A-level or Art School preparation and portfolio building
I offer lessons via webcam or in my home in North London, where you will have access to my sewing machine and my range of weaving frames in different sizes (when not in use). I am also happy to lend you embroidery hoops and other small equipment so you can experiment with different techniques without financial commitment.
