About Nicholas
I have built my career as a teacher by encouraging students to think, to question and to become the best of themselves. As a tutor, I bring a wide knowledge of the primary curriculum and an ability to develop and nurture pupils so that they are equipped with the confidence to skills and the skills and knowledge they need for the future. I am a passionate believer in the power of a positive mindset and I teach pupils that mistakes are steps to success.

At the heart of my tuition is a nurturing, child-centred approach which meets the needs of every pupil and a desire for every pupil to grow in confidence and success. Whether learning fractions or developing essay writing skills, I teach pupils to master the steps to success and not just the answer. I have over 25+ years as a classroom and subject specialist teacher in both the state and independent sectors in Key Stages 1, 2 and 3. I offer tuition in English, Maths and Science to 11+. Reasoning skills at 11+ and Senior School Entry and History, Geography and RE at 13+. I have a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Winchester and I hold a TQ UK Level 2 qualification in Autism. I am an experienced ISI inspector. Lessons typically last for 1 hour.
