About Luc
I am a primary school teacher specialising in Mathematics and PE with an in depth knowledge of the primary curriculum in the UK.
I have led multiple curriculum reviews within school and supported students with secondary school preparation. I have 8 years experience within the classroom, supporting pupils with accelerated progress in mathematics. My pedagogic approach is centred in maths mastery first, developing a fluency with number that supports pupils to reason and problem solve, using embeded long term mathematical understanding.

My teaching method is tailored to each individual with a focus on practical/kinaesthetic learning as a base for learning key techniques to help students.
A typical lesson will follow the structure of prior knowledge, to engage and use retained knowledge, a focus on new learning, this will involve a combination of tutor/teacher modelling and working with pupils to apply new knowledge. Then pupils will apply the knowledge to short independent tasks with regular assessment for learning supporting the remainder of the session and future sessions.
