About Jonathan
I'm a working producer and DJ, not only a teacher. I release music in bass, deep house, melodic techno, and drum & bass, and I play out regularly — so everything I teach comes from records I've actually finished, mixed, and performed, not from theory. That's the difference for advanced students: you're learning from someone doing the thing you're trying to do.
Over five years of one-on-one teaching, including students who learn differently, I've gotten good at one thing in particular — diagnosing exactly what's holding a producer's sound back and fixing it fast. My sessions are structured, direct, and built around measurable progress. You'll leave each one knowing what changed, why it changed, and what to do next.

You already make tracks. The problem is they don't hit like the references — the mix sounds small, the arrangement runs out of energy, or ideas stall before they're finished. That plateau is where I work.
I'm a San Francisco producer and DJ releasing in drum & bass, deep house, melodic techno, and downtempo bass music. I teach the exact techniques I use to finish and play out records — not theory, not shortcuts. The skills transfer to any genre, but the depth comes from working in these.
This is advanced coaching. If you already know your way around Ableton and want to close the gap between "sounds like a demo" and "sounds like a release," you're who I work with.
Production sessions cover:
Mixing that translates — low-end control, clarity, loudness, reference matching
Sound design & synthesis — building signature sounds in Wavetable, Operator, Serum
Arrangement & energy — tension, release, and tracks that hold attention start to finish
Advanced Ableton — racks, macros, resampling, Max for Live, faster workflow
Genre-specific production for bass, house, techno, and DnB
Mastering fundamentals to get tracks release-ready
DJ sessions cover:

Track selection and set curation — telling a story across a set
Club-standard hardware (CDJs/XDJs) and prepping for real gigs
