About Carl
Carl is a professional actor, producer, and acting coach with a wealth of experience across television, film, and theatre. His training spans some of the most respected methodologies and institutions in the industry, including Advanced Screen Acting with BBC and ITV professionals, RADA (Royal Academy of Dramatic Art), and the Demidov Technique.
Carl has worked alongside celebrated actors such as Ray Winstone, Jim Sturgess, Christopher Eccleston, and George MacKay in two feature films. He has spearheaded successful productions as an executive producer, including a star-studded theatre project featuring Kym Marsh, Lisa Riley, and Sue Holderness. To date, Carl has produced over 30 theatre productions, including highly successful UK tours.
As an acting coach, Carl is deeply committed to helping actors of all ages and levels achieve their potential. His students have gone on to achieve extraordinary success, with many landing roles in major productions. Notably, Carl taught Joe Locke, the breakout star of Netflix’s hit series Heartstopper. His students have also secured auditions for high-profile projects such as Lord of the Rings, Marvel films, Netflix originals, and, of course, Heartstopper.

I specialise in helping actors prepare for auditions, perfect self-tapes, prepare for drama school, find an agent, land their first TV role and master general acting techniques, all with a focus on realism and emotional truth. Audition Preparation:

My lessons focus on realism, helping you bring depth, truth, and authenticity to your work. Using techniques from my training in the Demidov Method, as well as practical tools honed with BBC and ITV professionals, I’ll help you explore your intuition and build natural, compelling performances.
