About Gayatri
My name is Gayatri and I am a classically trained vocalist with extensive experience as a concert performer, competition winner and television and recording artist. I am trained in classical music from the age of 6 and music is an integral part of my life.
I have rendered numerous concerts and have been recognized with prizes in several music competitions. In addition to live performances, my exposure to studio recordings and television programs has given me a strong understanding of voice control, clarity, presentation, and performance discipline—elements that I consciously pass on to my students.
I have been teaching Carnatic vocal music to students internationally, working with learners of different ages, backgrounds, and skill levels. My teaching follows a structured and traditional Carnatic methodology, with strong emphasis on voice culture, sruti shuddham, tala alignment, and musical expression (bhava). My classes are patient, systematic, and goal-oriented. Lessons are tailored according to individual pace and musical goals.
