About Opal
With more than 18 years of experience as a Piano teacher, I have guided school students, college students, and working professionals in their musical journey. I enjoy teaching students of all ages and helping them discover their musical potential.
My teaching philosophy focuses on clarity, discipline, and enjoyment. I believe students learn best when lessons are well-organized and explained in a simple way. I encourage students to ask questions and understand the purpose behind every exercise.
In my classes, I focus on piano technique, rhythm accuracy, sight reading, scales, chords, and basic music theory. I also guide students on effective practice methods so they can improve even outside class time. Each lesson is designed based on the student’s goals and learning pace.
My achievements include preparing students for academic exams, competitions, and public performances. Many students have shown improvement in confidence, coordination, and musical accuracy. I have also helped working professionals balance learning piano with busy schedules.
My aim is to make piano learning meaningful, enjoyable, and rewarding for every student.

My teaching methodology for Piano is designed to help students learn music in a simple, clear, and practical way. I believe music should be understood deeply rather than memorized mechanically. To support this, I use real-life examples such as popular songs, daily rhythm patterns, and familiar melodies so students can easily connect theory with real playing. I also share simple case studies of famous pianists and student progress stories to motivate learners and show how regular practice creates improvement.
Understanding is the base of every lesson. I start with posture, hand position, finger movement, and note reading before moving to scales, chords, and advanced techniques. Each topic is taught step by step, ensuring the student is comfortable before moving forward. If a student finds a concept difficult, I explain it again using a different method until it becomes clear.
Communication is open and encouraging. I explain lessons in simple language, demonstrate techniques clearly, and encourage students to ask questions freely. I give regular feedback and practice guidance. Integrity is central to my teaching values. I maintain honesty, punctuality, and respect in every class. Along with piano, I also teach music theory basics, rhythm training, sight reading, and ear training for complete musical development.
