About Marius
I am a music composer and pianist having attained a bachelors degree in music composition with applied studies in piano at Western Illinois University in 2014. I have composed music for the WIU Symphony Orchestra, directed the WIU Concert Choir as a student choral conductor, and performed solo and group concerts with collegues. I have also given private piano lesson to students from nine years old to 65 years old. Concurrently with these experiences, I have directed the Kuumba Soul Band Summer Music Camp as well as the Kuumba Soul Band. Now, I seasonally give concerts as a solo musician and as director of the Kuumba Soul Band.

My teaching method begins with the students particular interests. Whether a student favors jazz, classical, gospel, or hip-hop will ultimately influence my teaching approach. Also, the particular learning style of the student may determine if I first begin teaching the student music by ear or by paper.
