About VASILI
I am a professional composer, concert pianist and music educator with extensive experience in composition, performance and teaching. I hold a Master’s degree in Composition and Musicology from Tbilisi State Conservatoire. My original works have been performed internationally in the UK, France, the Netherlands, Poland, Greece and Germany.
Alongside composition and performance, I have extensive experience in music production, sound recording, mixing and mastering, as well as professional work with Cubase, Nuendo and music notation software. I also write songs and vocal works in different styles, from contemporary classical music to popular and classical-style songs.
I have many years of experience working with children, young musicians and adults, and I adapt my teaching to each student’s level, interests and creative goals. My aim is not only to teach musical techniques, but to help students develop their own musical voice and turn their ideas into complete, original works.

My composition lessons are designed to help students develop their own musical ideas and turn them into expressive, original works. I teach composition through creativity, musical structure, harmony, melody, form, orchestration, arranging, improvisation and practical writing techniques.
Students can explore both contemporary classical composition and songwriting, developing ideas from an initial concept into a complete, notated or recorded work. Lessons can also include music notation, MIDI, music software, recording, sound production and practical work with instruments and sound.
My approach is highly individual. I adapt each lesson to the student’s level, interests and artistic goals, whether they are a beginner discovering composition, a young musician developing their own voice, or an advanced student preparing serious original work.

The first lesson is free and used to understand the student’s goals and musical background. Regular lessons are fully personalised and may include composition, songwriting, orchestration, arranging, music theory, notation, MIDI, recording and music production, depending on the student’s needs.
