About Luis
I am a professional violinist and composer. I hold a Masters degree in Violin and Screen Composition from the Royal College of Music, London.
With over a dozen years of teaching experience, both privately and in schools, I have helped hundreds of students achieve their goals in music, many of whom have achieved distinction in their music exams. I have extensive orchestral experience and write music for film and television.

Using a demanding but empathetic method, I help you to read scores correctly and to understand how music works by analysing classical works, pop songs and soundtracks. Once you are comfortable with the basic concepts of harmony, you will discover the amazing world of composition.

Luis is such a great musician, and a really good teacher. I have been lucky to have great teachers throughout my life, and Luis is amongst the best ones. He not only explains complicated concepts in a clear and understandable way, but, while doing so, also radiates a love for music that is, at the very least, contagious. Besides being an excellent musician, Luis is committed, passionate, kind, and patient. I highly recommend him as a music teacher.
