About Shannon
I perform, teach, and choreograph throughout New York City. Since graduating Summa Cum Laude from SUNY Purchase in 2022, I have choreographed for Brooklyn Ballet, Battery Dance Festival, and Norte Maar's Counterpointe series. I strive to make work that combines enhanced classical technique with added nuances and humor.
I grew up in the D.C./Maryland area, where I trained at the Washington School of Ballet. I studied at Walnut Hill School for the Arts and attended summer programs at Boston Ballet, Ballet Austin, Charlotte Ballet, LINES Ballet, BalletX and Arts Umbrella in Vancouver.
As I work to gather information from many different art forms, I strive to embrace and physically express versatility. I stay connected to my dance roots and technical upbringing to challenge myself and those I work with.
