About Rod
I have been dancing for 19 years 12 of that has been professionally. I have trained with many of the greatest choreographers of all time. I have danced with Culture Shock Oakland Dance Troupe under Kim Sims-Batiste and Dominique Batiste, I have trained with Janell Ginestra, Luther Brown, Tricia Miranda, Hamilton Evans and more. I pride myself in continuing my training so I’m always able to give back current insight to what’s going on in the industry. My teaching style is unique to the individual I’m instructing because everyone moves at different speeds. I make sure I learn my client and teach in a way that they will leave feeling more prepared and confident to go and bust a move anywhere. I teach dances so when that song comes on whether at the bar, club, birthday party or at concerts you will feel confident enough to do it wherever the song comes on.

All inclusive lessons focusing on Retention, Confidence, Intention, Execution, Personality expressions and more. I come from a fitness background so you will always start off with a nice stretch, warm up and work out before we begin learning choreography. The goal is to work at your pace to help get you to the level that you want to be at. Whether you are trying to become a professional yourself or just dance for fun or fitness my sessions are inclusive for all dance levels. Hip Hop, Jazz funk, Majorette, Afro fusion and reggaeton. I have had the pleasure of performing for the greats and I am focusing on helping others feel just as great.

Rod is one of the most dedicated and talented dancers I know. He’s been training for years and he’s always giving his all. Anyone would be lucky to learn from him. Someone who genuinely cares for and loves the sport.
Rod is a phenomenal teacher/ instructor. He is punctual for the session provided. He is patient, kind and makes you feel like you can accomplish all the dance moves. He has nice clean moves.
