My teaching approach is based on connecting solid technique with real musical application. Every technical exercise is connected to a musical goal, repertoire, or style, so students are not simply practicing technique for its own sake.
A typical lesson combines warm-up and technique, coordination and groove exercises, repertoire, and practical musical application. The content is adapted to each student’s level, goals, and musical interests.
As a professional drummer, session musician, percussionist, and Berklee professor, I bring both academic training and real-world performance experience into every lesson. I teach beginner, intermediate, and advanced students in Jazz, Rock, Pop, Metal, Latin Music, Brazilian Music, and Samba, as well as congas, timbales, bongos, and auxiliary percussion.
