About Patrick
I'm a professional Video Editor and Colourist working in London, with 5+ years in post-production across documentary, TV and corporate work — including projects that have aired on Netflix, BBC and Amazon Prime, and work for clients like Tiffany, HSBC and the UK Government. I'm also Durham-educated, with a BA and MSc — I love to teach in a structured, effective way that most "press these buttons" tutorials completely lack.
Here's the thing: learning this was PAINFULLY slow for me. I was handed a wall of buttons and a list of technical terms nobody bothered to explain, and left to figure out which of a hundred conflicting opinions to trust.
What I was missing was structure — a sensible, sequenced way through it, taught by someone who actually does this for a living. That's what I wish I'd had, so it's what I give other people.
I love making complexity simple. These tools should work for you, not stand in your way.

Colour grading is one of the most exciting things you can learn — and one of the most overwhelming to start. There are hundreds of YouTube voices all telling you something slightly different, free tutorials that contradict each other, and "lessons" that turn out to be sales funnels for an overpriced course or a mediocre LUT pack. If you feel lost... it's not you.
I teach the way I wish I'd been taught — practical, clear, and built entirely around you. Every session is bespoke: we start from your project and your goals, I distil the foundational concepts you actually need as simply as possible, and then we put them straight into practice on real work. Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned filmmaker.
Mostly, though, I just love this stuff — being deeply immersed in colour and light, feeling the image come alive. If that's the kind of thing you want to geek out over with someone who does it for a living, let's talk.
