About Alex
A native of London, I worked as an engineer and construction project manager in London for 10 years before I decided to become a teacher. Since completing the CELTA English Teaching Certificate, I have been teaching general and business English to groups and individuals in Germany. I have worked for language schools as well as with private students. My work experience outside of class has given me hands-on experience of living and working in the UK, including writing résumés and attending professional interviews.

I teach entirely in English to create an immersive classroom environment that will deliver the fastest and most successful results for all language levels. I plan each lesson individually and customize my study materials for each student so that the learning is both fun and more effective for the student's needs and previous experiences. There is always an emphasis on speaking in every lesson as the opportunity to communicate with a native speaker is invaluable to all of my students and is the best way to build a student's confidence and skills in the language.
