About Kate
I am a professional tutor with great success at all levels and over 300 5* reviews. Graduating from Cambridge in 2010 with a double first, I went on to complete my MPhil in Education and Literature. Among other academic successes I have a number of published papers, research credits, extensive lecture and academic teaching experience, and a number of accolades and prizes for academic performance. After my degrees I immediately began tutoring, having discovered a love for teaching during my research into Literature and Education. I have since tutored for a number of online platforms, as well as privately one-to-one.

My tutoring style is not only in-depth and closely tailored to my students’ needs, but also holistic. A crucial part of an impressive student or candidate is not only their aptitude at close-reading or contextual knowledge, but also a broader appreciation of associated arts, including the art of essay writing, and the academic work which surrounds texts. As such, though much of my material is based on past-papers, thematic and close readings, and resources I myself have developed, I also encourage students to explore widely in areas relating to their study.
