About Dominic
Hi! I’m Dominic, a guitar teacher, professional musician, and Music Masters graduate based in Brighton & Hove. I have 16 years of experience in songwriting, recording, and touring internationally, and have been teaching for the last 11 years.
I love helping people discover the joy of playing music. It’s very rewarding to see students progress, gain confidence and enjoy the process of becoming better guitarists.
I believe learning an instrument should always be enjoyable and rewarding. I tailor each lesson to the individual, ensuring that we progress at the right pace for you, focusing on the areas you’re most passionate about—while having fun along the way!

I teach electric, acoustic, classical, and bass guitar to students of all levels, from complete beginners to advanced players.
My lessons cover a broad spectrum of styles, including rock ‘n’ roll, country, folk, blues, classical, jazz, Spanish/flamenco, rock, and metal.
No matter your musical tastes or goals, I’m here to help you develop your skills and reach your full potential.
In addition to guitar, I also teach composition and music production, which I can incorporate into your guitar lessons if you’re interested in looking to expand your musical horizons.
Below are some of the key areas I focus on (tailored to your needs and interests):
• Learning to play songs that you love
• Developing your ability to compose your own music
• Learning improvisation and soloing techniques
• Playing with other musicians to enhance your ensemble skills
• Breaking down music theory to better understand how music works and inform your playing
• Exploring effects, pedals, amps, and techniques to achieve a range of sounds
• Expanding your chord vocabulary to develop your own unique style
• Studying modes, scales, and arpeggios to improve improvisation, soloing, and composition
• Mastering fingerpicking, picking techniques, and more I teach from my home in Hove, where I have electric, acoustic, Spanish, and bass guitars, along with various amps and effects pedals available for use during lessons.

Perfect! Dominic is a very patient teacher who can play lots of different styles and also knows music theory very well. He can teach at various levels so whether you've just began learning guitar or are looking to improve your skills, Dominic is a great option!

Dom is a really great, kind and attentive instructor who really listens to your aims and goals and will then cater to your needs. He has a huge amount of knowledge and his passion for music and the guitar is clear to see! I would highly recommend lessons with Dominic.
