About Josef
I have been an A-level Economics tutor for almost four years, working with a number of students, many of whom managed to achieve A* and secure offers from top UK universities.
Qualifications:
BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Durham University
(2020, First-class Honours)
MPhil in Development Studies/Development Economics from the University of Cambridge
(2021, Merit)

In my tutoring, I am trying to combine a positive teaching attitude — tailored to each student’s needs — with a rigorous emphasis on strengthening their core weaknesses, making sure they make the best of their academic potential. I believe that limits to learning are largely constructed – any student can markedly outperform their perceived academic capabilities if provided with adequate teaching support.
My core teaching qualities include enthusiasm for economics, excellent knowledge of the subject, coupled with an ability to illustrate theoretical concepts on real-world examples. I am especially passionate about using economics as a tool to better understand the current world.
As a recent Durham and Cambridge graduate, I also offer UCAS/Oxbridge admissions mentoring.
I can teach both online and in-person (London) – happy to teach at a student’s home or in a cafe. I am available for regular tutoring as well as one-off classes.
