About Milo
I have a BA Hons Photography degree from University of the Arts London and have been mentoring and facilitating young people in the creative industries. I have ten years industry experience and have shot for brands such as Nike, Baracuta, Nowness and Napapijri as well as undertaking many photojournalistic assignments for print media specialising in sport and portraiture.

My teaching pre-pandemic was focused on practical and hands-on learning as photography and film making is a mainly vocational skill. However the theory, history and inspirational side is equally important. I have found it effective to offer coaching surrounding my students chosen photographic interest and generating resources for them to motivate them to design and go out and shoot their own dream projects. I offer equipment loans and my personal library access as a lot of inspirational material is not found online. It is important to create self-facilitating loops of confidence by teaching the tools to break down other images to show how they are made so they can go and replicate for themselves. I also have an A-level background and continuing interest in physics and chemistry which I find to be very useful in explaining the processes behind image making and have proven useful when working through a students desire to experiment.
