About Kathryn
I've been tutoring and proofreading with learners of English as an Additional Language for over 10 years, in class and one-to-one settings in Toronto, Calgary, London and Melbourne. I have beginner knowledge of French and Spanish.
I’m a grammar nerd, an avid form-filler, and am curious and empathetic. Both my British and Chinese grandparents were migrants to Canada. English is my first language. I've just returned to the UK after living and working in Australia the past 5 years, and have also lived/worked in the Philippines.
For half of my life, I've supported people of varying ages, backgrounds and abilities to feel confident to express themselves, and to achieve their goals in English. This could mean passing the IELTS, applying for a dream job, completing an assignment, joining a social activity in a new country, or anything that is important to you!
