About Chris
I started playing the Saxophone at age 10, balancing an interest in jazz and classical genres where I eventually chose to go down the jazz route when I started a degree in Jazz at the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Since graduating I have been gigging and touring the UK with bands such as The Down for the Count Swing Orchestra, Roberto Pla's Latin Jazz ensemble and my own jazz quartet and have also been a finalist in the 2023 Worshipful Company of Musicians Young Jazz Musician of the Year Award.

Specialism in teaching jazz, especially swing and bebop, but also offer lessons in classical and pop with a focus on improving technique and developing a strong personal sound. Very much into creating a positive vibe and pushing people at a pace they are comfortable with to keep things productive but most importantly enjoyable and inspiring. Have taught saxophone at all levels and also offer clarinet and flute up to an intermediate standard.
