About Ana Maria
Graduate of the Royal Academy of Music in London, she completed her studies with first-class honors, guided by vocal mentors Marcus van den Akker and Amy Shoremount-Obra. Her training has helped shape a promising career in opera, with performances that reflect both technical skill and emotional nuance.
Her musical journey began at the age of 16 when she attended the Summer Performing Arts Training Course at Juilliard in New York, under the direction of Amy Shoremount-Obra. At just 17, she was accepted into the Royal Academy of Music, where she continued to refine her voice under the instruction of Marcus van den Akker.
Ana-Maria’s operatic repertoire includes a range of roles such as Suzanna in Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro, Elisetta in Cimarosa's Il Matrimonio Segreto, Tisbe in Rossini's La Cenerentola, Zemire in Gretry's Zemire et Azor, and the title role in Massenet's Cendrillon. Her performances have been noted for their musical sensitivity and engaging stage presence.
She has performed at notable venues including the Royal Festival Hall, Duke's Hall, and the LVMH Theatre in London, as well as the Susie Sainsbury Theatre. In Romania, her appearances have included the Romanian Athenaeum and Palace Hall in Bucharest. She has also performed internationally at the Académie Internationale d'Été de Nice in France.
Ana-Maria continues to expand her artistic range through participation in masterclasses with renowned figures such as Larisa Gergieva, Lorraine Nubar, and Lucy Crowe. These experiences have contributed to her development as a performer, allowing her to explore new perspectives on vocal interpretation.
With her dedication to her craft and growing experience, Ana-Maria Godoroja remains a committed artist, continuing to develop her presence on both national and international stages.

I am using the Garcia Method of teaching, focusing on portamento and breath control at early stages to achieve an even sound and to bring your voice to its maximum potential! My lessons usually last around 60 minutes and we will be working 10 minutes warm-up, 30 minutes on technique, and 20 on repertoire! I have an LRAM Teaching Certificate from The Royal Academy of Music.
