About George

I’m a filmmaker, editor and creative director with over 15 years’ experience across short films, branded content and large-scale digital campaigns. I’ve led creative and post-production for organisations such as the National Theatre, where I helped launch the National Theatre at Home platform and oversaw more than 200 digital assets reaching audiences in over 170 countries. I’ve also directed and edited work for brands including Amazon, eBay, Huawei, CBS and Al Jazeera, and my own short films have screened at UK and international festivals.
After years of working at this level, the part of my job I enjoy most is mentoring others and demystifying the craft. I know how confusing editing and filmmaking can feel at the start, and I want to share the practical workflows, creative thinking and real-world standards I’ve learned on professional sets and in busy post-production environments. Teaching lets me help future filmmakers, editors and content creators grow in confidence, avoid the mistakes I’ve seen repeatedly in the industry, and build work they’re genuinely proud to share.

Professional Video Editing – Adobe Premiere / DaVinci / Final Cut
Unlock professional-grade editing skills with clear, practical guidance. I’m an experienced editor and creative director who has spent years cutting documentaries, branded content, live events and digital campaigns in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve and Final Cut Pro. My goal is to help you move beyond basic cuts and effects to confident, purposeful editing that tells a strong story.
What You’ll Gain:
One-to-one online sessions focused on your projects and goals
Step-by-step guidance in Premiere, DaVinci or Final Cut, from import to export
Clear workflows for organising footage, structuring timelines and backing up projects
Practical techniques for pacing, transitions, sound design, music and basic colour

My teaching style is hands-on, collaborative and workflow-driven. We work inside the software together, using screen-share so you can see each step and then repeat it yourself. Every lesson has a clear objective, and you’ll finish with a more polished edit plus a small set of techniques to practise, rather than a long list of abstract tips.
