About Jayne
I am a violin tutor with 12 years of experience, teaching students at all levels—from beginners to advanced performers, including school children, college students, and working professionals. My teaching philosophy emphasises balancing technical proficiency with musical expression. I work on technique, sight-reading, music theory, and performance skills while helping students explore their creativity and personal style.
I have successfully guided over 200 students, many of whom have performed confidently in recitals, concerts, and competitions. My lessons are interactive, engaging, and structured, helping students develop skill, confidence, and a lifelong appreciation for music.

I follow a teaching methodology based on compassion, encouragement, and clear communication. I aim to make learning the violin a rewarding and confidence-building experience. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s individual pace, learning style, and goals, ensuring engagement and progress.
I focus on structured guidance, demonstrations, and interactive exercises, breaking down complex techniques and musical concepts into understandable steps. Students are encouraged to ask questions, explore creativity, and actively participate in lessons, making learning dynamic and effective.
Being supportive is at the heart of my approach. I celebrate progress, provide constructive feedback, and guide students through challenges with patience and encouragement. Lessons combine technical skill-building, musical expression, and personal growth to develop well-rounded, confident learners.
I also teach other subjects using the same student-focused methodology, inspiring curiosity, motivation, and a lifelong love for learning and music.
