About Fanton
Fanton started playing the violin at the age of 8 with Farzad Khavand, an Iranian musician with whom she discovered traditional world music. She continued her apprenticeship at the Conservatory and at the Institut Supérieur des Arts in Toulouse, then at the University of Montreal where she obtained a master's degree in performance. These years of study have allowed him to work with excellent teachers such as Nathalie Descamps, Annick Roussin, Raphael Oleg, Laura Andriani and many others. It is within several orchestras that she performs occasionally: the Toulouse Chamber Orchestra, the Orchester du Capitole, the Volte ensemble, the Arkea ensemble ... but also with the formation of Slavic music " Rodinka ”. Her experience in traditional music and her curiosity for improvisation takes her to baroque music, a musical field that she has been studying since September 2019 at McGill University at the Graduate Diploma Performance. She has been teaching for ten years now, always attentive to the student's personality, her teaching is very open with particular attention to posture and body awareness.

The lessons are structured around the path that the student wants to follow. Any style of music is welcome and I will do my best to accompany it in its artistic process and give it the necessary technical elements. Very related to the body, I pay great attention to posture and bodily well-being. Dance is a source of inspiration for me as well as certain competitive sports which can be exemplary in terms of mental preparation for the competition. Always with a benevolent attitude, it is through play and in a lively way that music theory will be integrated.
