About Nicola
I am a Glasgow based working actress and have been in the industry 10 years beginning my professional career from the age of 18. I have performed in a range of shows from Shakespeare to musical theatre and I have up to and including a BA honours in Drama and Acting. I can speak English and Italian and can deliver lessons in both and I am a seasoned traveller in acting for touring theatre. I specialise In techniques from Adler to Brook and can adapt to a student and allow them to explore their own methods. If you want to change acting from your passion to your career I can give you the academic knowledge and understanding and the practical experience to create a well-rounded actor.

I offer different classes for different requirements and levels. Audition Prep: I offer an hour slot in which we will go over your script, analyse your performance and use techniques I’ve learned from Casting Directors and coaches in order to help you nail your audition. Theory Based Classes: These classes are intended to broaden the knowledge of students wishing to learn about acting techniques and the creatives who developed them (ideal for Drama students in school/Uni) Practical Classes: We will explore texts and work on your own techniques, this is a great class for anyone looking for a safe space to practice, enhance and develop their craft. This class offers opportunity to learn performance prep, ways of unlocking a truthful performance and build on confidence in one’s self. Professional Practice: I pride myself on my work ethic but the tools I’ve learned from other industry professionals are what make the difference in this career. In these lessons I’ll share what I’ve learned and we will look at how to push your career in a professional direction. How to contact industry professionals and also how best to secure work at the start of your career.

Nicola is an excellent acting tutor. She really understands the nuances of a script and will guide you to understand the nuances on your own without any judgement or pressure. I had my first lesson with her today and she is adept at making one feel very comfortable and completely at ease. I had no experience at all in any acting capacity and As such Nicola tailored the class to accommodate my lack of experience. I found the class engaging and fun and I am happy to book more lessons with her.
Nicola is an amazing tutor and an incredible actor! I worked with her in a production of Grease and not only did she help me in my own performance to enhance my character, she showed the many different methods of acting that she can do. A delightful person and an excellent teacher - you’ll learn a lot from her, 100% recommend!

I charge fixed industry rates for Tutoring. Travel costs may vary but will not exceed £15 for Glasgow areas. Anything further than Glasgow will be charged at a rate of 40p per mile.
