About Jenny
My love of foreign languages and Spanish in particular began when I was 12 years old. I got to know a group of Salvadoran orphans who went around the US performing to raise money for their orphanage. I loved both the language and the people and started studying Spanish the next year in 8th grade.
I took Spanish all the way through high school and it was one of my college majors. But, the reason I'm fluent now is because I USED it. I eventually travelled to El Salvador and reunited with a few of those orphans and improved my Spanish even more.
I've also been to Mexico more times than I can count as well Venezuela. So not only do I know the language, but I also love and understand the various cultures that make up the Spanish speaking world.
I'm also a licensed teacher with 6 year of classroom teaching experience so I know and understand how to get you from where you are in your Spanish studies to where you want to be.

You learn a language by using it - speaking, listening, reading and writing!
So during your time with me we'll be getting up and moving around - maybe acting something out or maybe I'll tell you to go find something in your house and tell me more about it. But either way, a good part of it will be happening in Spanish.
Even if you're just starting out it won't be scary, I promise! We'll go at the pace you feel comfortable with while having a lot off fun. In order to do that our first session will be a conversation about how much Spanish you already know and your goals for our time together.
As a licensed teacher with 6 years of classroom teaching experience and a masters degree in Curriculum & Instruction all of my lessons are personally tailored to your age (all are welcome but I do ask that parents attend with young children), Spanish ability, interests, and language learning goals.
