About Alec
My fascination with programming began in early college, where I realized that logic and creativity could combine to produce tangible solutions that have real impact. This curiosity led me to pursue a B.Sc in Computer Science and later an M.Sc in Software Engineering, where I explored advanced algorithms, application development, and software architecture. Over the past 12 years, I have guided learners across ages and skill levels, helping them move from hesitation to confidence in their coding abilities.
I believe every student can learn programming if the teaching approach is clear, structured, and encouraging. Many learners initially feel overwhelmed by complex syntax or unfamiliar logic, so I focus on breaking concepts into manageable parts, using real-world examples, analogies, and hands-on exercises. I adapt lessons to individual needs, helping learners achieve mastery at their own pace while building problem-solving skills and technical understanding.
Outside the classroom, I continuously explore emerging technologies, software development trends, and coding projects. Teaching programming is highly rewarding because I witness learners develop not only technical proficiency but also resilience, creative problem-solving ability, and confidence. Supporting students as they grow into capable, independent coders is the most fulfilling part of my work.

Programming becomes much more approachable when learners understand that code is simply a set of logical steps that solve real-world problems. My lessons focus on helping learners develop foundational skills in Python, Java, C++, algorithms, object-oriented programming, and structured problem-solving. I emphasize both conceptual understanding and practical application, guiding students to see not only how code executes but also why it works. Lessons are interactive, including hands-on exercises, debugging practices, and mini-projects that encourage learners to think critically, explore creative solutions, and experiment safely.
As learners advance, lessons expand into algorithm optimization, recursion, data structures, application development, and software design patterns. I provide examples from professional and academic contexts, ensuring that each concept is tied to meaningful real-world use. Students are encouraged to tackle challenging problems step by step, develop structured thinking, and review code iteratively for efficiency and clarity. Exercises are personalized to align with learners’ goals, whether preparing for exams, interviews, or personal projects.
