About Rivan
My passion for programming began with fascination for software systems, digital innovation, and the creativity involved in transforming logical ideas into working applications. This curiosity encouraged me to complete a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology followed by a PhD in Computer Science. Over the past 11 years, I have guided students through programming learning using patient teaching and supportive instruction. I enjoy simplifying difficult coding concepts into manageable lessons that help students improve steadily. Watching students become more confident in software development continues motivating me as a tutor. My teaching philosophy focuses on understanding, consistency, and supportive learning instead of pressure or memorization alone. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable exploring technical ideas openly.
Throughout my teaching experience, I have worked with beginners, university learners, and advanced students preparing for technical careers and software development projects. These experiences have helped me understand the importance of flexibility and patience when supporting different learning styles. I use coding demonstrations, practical examples, guided exercises, and structured problem solving to help students progress steadily without feeling overwhelmed. I also encourage learners to ask questions freely and develop independent technical thinking naturally. Students often appreciate my calm and encouraging teaching style because it helps them remain motivated during lessons. Outside teaching, I enjoy developing software applications, exploring emerging technologies, and studying advancements related to artificial intelligence and cybersecurity systems. These interests help me bring practical technical insight into my lessons. I believe programming education should strengthen both knowledge and creativity. Over the years, I have seen many students transform from uncertain beginners into confident programmers. Helping students discover confidence in coding remains one of the most rewarding aspects of my career. Beginners receive patient guidance with syntax, variables, loops, and program structure. Intermediate learners strengthen debugging skills, logical reasoning, and coding organization. Advanced students focus on software projects, algorithms, and technical problem-solving methods. I encourage students to understand programming deeply instead of memorizing coding patterns without meaning. My goal is to make programming lessons practical, engaging, and confidence-building for every learner.
I focus strongly on helping students understand how programming concepts connect naturally instead of treating coding as isolated commands without logical understanding. Difficult technical topics are explained through smaller examples and guided exercises that help learners remain motivated and comfortable during lessons. Students also learn how syntax, debugging, and software logic work together to improve coding accuracy steadily. Practice activities are adjusted according to each student’s learning pace and technical goals so progress remains balanced and encouraging. I include coding exercises, debugging activities, and practical projects regularly to make lessons engaging and memorable. My teaching style combines patience, structure, and supportive encouragement throughout every session. I want students to feel confident understanding programming naturally and independently.
