About Thalia
I discovered my love for programming during my Bachelor’s in Computer Science and refined it through a Master’s in Software Engineering. Over 7 years of teaching, I have supported students of all levels in developing coding skills, logical thinking, and confidence. My teaching philosophy emphasizes patience, clarity, and adaptability, ensuring that every student can progress at their own pace while building competence and motivation.
I design lessons that integrate practice, explanation, and real-world application. Beginners gain a solid foundation in programming concepts, intermediate students develop structured problem-solving and coding practices, and advanced learners work on larger projects, algorithms, and optimization challenges. Each session includes hands-on exercises, debugging guidance, and interactive problem-solving to reinforce understanding and promote independent thinking.
Beyond teaching, I stay engaged with the latest programming tools, software development trends, and personal projects, which I bring into lessons to enrich learning. Watching students develop confidence, problem-solving abilities, and creativity is deeply rewarding. Programming lessons become enjoyable and meaningful when students understand how code can solve real problems. I teach Python, Java, algorithms, data structures, and software logic with a focus on hands-on learning and practical application. Beginners gain foundational knowledge, learning about variables, loops, and functions, while intermediate students explore modular programming, debugging, and object-oriented concepts. Advanced learners work on projects, algorithm optimization, and software design challenges.
Each lesson is structured to build confidence and independent problem-solving skills. Students practice coding exercises, mini-projects, and logic challenges that reinforce concepts while encouraging creativity. I emphasize clarity in explanation, using examples, analogies, and interactive coding sessions to make learning engaging. My goal is for learners to see tangible results from their work, boosting motivation and understanding.
