About Haley
I recently graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. My specialties include psychological disorders, biopsychology, learning and conditioning, and social psychology. I enjoy breaking down complex psychological concepts and connecting them to real-life examples to make them easier to understand and remember. My lessons are interactive and personalized, using visuals, hands-on activities, memory tricks, and engaging examples to help students truly understand the material.

My teaching style is hands-on, interactive, and personalized. I believe students learn best when they can see, hear, and physically interact with what they are learning. I use a variety of creative techniques to make lessons engaging and memorable, including physical objects, drawings, visual aids, PowerPoints, activities, songs, rhymes, and memory tricks.
For example, when teaching the synapse, we might draw out the process together, use a toy or object to represent a neurotransmitter, or even act out how neurons communicate. When learning psychology theories, we might turn the lesson into an activity or game, such as tossing a ball back and forth while naming different theories. These activities encourage students to actively use their brains while learning instead of simply listening and memorizing.
I tailor each lesson to the student's individual learning style and needs, with the goal of making difficult concepts easier to understand, remember, and—most importantly—enjoy!
