About Joanne
I am confident about my usage of the English language as I use it on a daily basis for reading, speaking and writing. Teaching really excites me and as a student myself, I would love to have an engaging teacher who would always make lessons fun and interesting. I believe in my abilities to be that teacher for students and to help them get a good grasp of the language where they are comfortable enough to converse with others on a daily basis using the language and to read some simple texts in English. Learning the language could be daunting at first but I am a patient person so I believe I am able to tailor my teaching style to the individual student to the best of my abilities.

My teaching style is primarily through engagement using fun slides and interesting language to entice the students to learn more. The typical length of my lessons would be 1 hour, but could extend to 2 hours if required. I have worked as a tutor bothin a volunteering program in my Bachelor's degree and in a special needs centre after graduation. My students were primarily young children of ages 8-10. However, I also have experience teaching students of ages 13-18.
