About Zofia
I am a psychology student at the University of Bristol, going into my final year. So far in my studies I covered areas of the Social, Cognitive, Biological and Developmental psychology, as well as research methods. Although I have not tutored psychology before, I would love to share my passion for the subject with students, help them understand concepts and theories within psychology. Before university I did Psychology IB at Higher Level (grade 6), so I'm able to provide quality help for IB students.
Furthermore, I went to a bilingual secondary school with French, and I travalled and stayed in France, Switzerland and Belgium which helped me nurture my conversational abilities. So far I have been teaching on the beginner's level, but I'm also confident in providing instruction beyond that.

My idea of teaching is to make the subject interesting and make the student want to know and investigate more and later on, focusing on painting a bigger picture. I think that individually-tailored approach is important because everyone learns at a different pace. I believe in the importance of frequent testing as a learning technique, in place of endless note-taking and highlighting, which has actually been shown in research to be much less beneficial for retaining information in memory. I would like the student to be critical and analytical, and train their ability to think independently, which will be a great preparation for studying at the university level.
