About Taryn
I have been in practice as a general counsellor and hypnotherapist since 2008. I studied psychology at Rhodes University and the South African College of Applied Psychology. I studied hypnotherapy through the South African Institute of Hypnotism. Due to my own life and health challenges, I have immersed myself in healing theories and mind-energy-body connection for the last twenty years. Since 2016, I have been training in qigong, specifically, zhineng qigong. I have certified as a teacher from the Xian Centre and as a Mingjue (inner observer) teacher and healer from Master Wei Qifeng. I am an organiser for The World Consciousness Community, a community helping to build love, peace and restore self back to Self.

My lessons are focused on self-healing and self-regulation using zhineng qigong and mindfulness. Zhineng qigong states that our consciousness is the master of our lives and our health. By shifting our state of mind, we shift our energy body and in-turn our physical body. After a discussion about your healing needs, we will start the process, tailored to your specific needs. I generally begin by guiding you into a relaxed mindful state. We then use a self-healing technique called "la-qi", (opening and closing with the hands) to release blockages and gather fresh universal energy into your body and mind.
