About Stefania
I work as a dancer, choreographer and dance teacher in Berlin, where I have been living since 2013. I work with various artists from the Berlin scene and in addition to my own projects as a stage artist in the direction of instant composition, I work a lot as a dance teacher for adults and children.I have been teaching dance since 2008, right after my degree in dance and education. To me, teaching means learning what movement in dance means to me. I try to teach with fun and joy. My practice pursues the integration of physical abilities and techniques of contemporary dance with the principles of instant composition, based on the joy of movement and dancing.

The work integrates anatomical elements with the process of moving and dancing, for the pleasure of the body, which is seen as our habit and medium of adaptation. A movement investigation anchored in contemporary dance, based on perceptions and body awareness, especially for the joy of experiencing movements in space, testing your own potential and individual expression. The class creates a dynamic mix of listening, energetic exercises and rhythmic steps related to coordination. We align the body and immerse ourselves deeply in its physicality by introducing a specific somatic or technical task. We are gradually opening up different tools and exploring different variations of the principles of contemporary dance: weight, space, time, dynamics. We play with changes in speed and energy, spatial relationships and projections, through different lengths of sequences and guided improvisations. The goal is to achieve a dynamic state that guides the body and mind into a flowing dance. The personal presence is included and liberated, it expresses itself with its own specific language.
